FARRAND BLOCH

Inspired by photographers like Jan Saudek, Herlinde Koelbl and Ruven Afanador, Farrand Bloch began photographing men. In 2009 things got more serious when he started doing more nude shoots and working with acrobats, dancers or performers, who have the ability to strike a pose or add emotional value to the photo. The moving male body fascinates Farrand. With multi-layered images he can show the body in various moves and moods in a single photo. Sharp contrasts, sensuality versus robust masculinity, are themes which Farrand’s work is known for. Some of his works are presented by Gallerie ‘Mooiman’ in Groningen The Netherlands.

‘My aim is to make strong images which will linger in your mind’ - Farrand Bloch
